Dear Parents

We are all looking forward to the return of our ECD – Grade 6 pupils on Monday 6th September.

The following is a reminder of how we will be receiving our pupils into school in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.

1. Pupils are not to be dropped off at school before 7:00am.

2. When pupils arrive at school they are to go through the sanitising tunnel and walk to their

holding area. Grades 5, 6 and 7 will be in front of the hall.  Grade 3, 4 and ELP will be on the hostel side of the covered walkway.  ECD, Grades 1 and 2 will be on the flagpole side of the covered walkway.

3. At 7:30am, pupils will be lined up, have their temperatures taken and recorded, they will
sanitize their hands and will walk directly to their classrooms where they will sit at their desks until school begins at 8:00am.

4. All pupils and staff are to follow the directional arrows in the passages and corridors to

facilitate social distancing.

5. Grades 5, 6 and 7 will enter the school through the entrance opposite the Chapel, Grades 3, 4
and ELP will enter through the hostel main doors and ECD, Grades 1 and 2 will enter through the covered walkway entrance.

6. Parents wishing to enter the school may only do so through the main entrance at reception andare to report to the reception. Parents are restricted to the reception foyer only.

7. ECD break will be from 10:00am – 10:30am in the playground. Grades 1 and 2 will be from
10:30am – 11:00am in the playground. Grades 3 to 7 will be from 10.30 to 11.00. Grades 3 and 4 will be behind the Chapel under the trees around the 1st Team field, Grade 5 and 6 will be on the netball field, tennis pavilion and under the trees in front of the tennis courts and Grades 7’s will be in front of the hall on the paved seating area.

8. School will end at 12:15pm for ECD, 12:30pm Grades 1 and 2 and 1:00pm for Grades 3 – 7.

9. ECD – Grade 2 pupils will wait to be collected by parents on the lawned area between the flag
pole and the covered walkway, Grades 3, 4 and ELP will wait on the lawned area on the hostel side of the covered walkway, and Grades 5, 6 and 7 will wait on the lawned area in front of the chapel to the flag pole round about.

10. All pupils are to arrive at school wearing masks or face shields which are to be worn at all times except for eating.  It is suggested that pupils bring both a mask and a face shield to interchange for comfort during the day.  Masks are to be washed as per manufacturer’s instructions.

11. Please note that pupils exhibiting ANY symptoms of colds, flu or sickness are not, under any
circumstances, to be brought to school. Pupils who do exhibit or develop any symptoms while at school will be isolated, parents will be required to immediately come and collect them and the required home quarantine will be necessary before returning to school.
