Dear Parents
As can be seen, after many failed attempts that have not lasted owing to poor quality paints, we are once again endeavouring to paint the road markings outside the school for everyone’s safety. However, this time, we have partnered with Dulux Paints who have a new product. Dulux has very kindly donated the paint for the trial as well as providing technical expertise to ensure the correct application etc. The difference in this application is already noticeable and we hope that it will last significantly longer than previous efforts.
Our sincere and most grateful appreciation and thanks go to Dulux for their most generous donation and significant assistance.
We are also most grateful to City of Harare for once again providing the assistance with the correct marking and for ensuring the safety of all during the marking process.
Last Friday afternoon our Grade 6H went to H.I.S. to perform their Choral Verse for the National Institute of Allied Arts Speech and Drama Festival. Grade 6H were also awarded Honours and were again the only class to be awarded Honours on that day. Further they were asked to perform their Choral Verse at the Festival’s Final Concert and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, where they were awarded three trophies as follows:
Ann Levy Cup - Best Junior Performance
The Choral Speaking Cup - Best performance
The Deloitte Trophy - Highest points
Our congratulations go to all our Grade 6’s
Last Friday afternoon we also hosted a most exciting 7-a-side Indoor Hockey Festival. Our congratulations go to our 1st Team for winning the Festival.
The PTA will be holding a ‘Movie Night’ next Friday evening as a family event. The movie will be ‘Encanto’ and will be shown outside on the netball court. Food and drinks will be on sale and everyone is advised to bring warm clothing. Parents may bring chairs and pupils may bring blankets etc to sit on. A raffle with substantial prizes is being held as well. Tickets for all are available at lunchtime from the PTA’s desk on the front lawn.
The Inter Provisional Hockey Tournament is being held this weekend in Bulawayo. We wish our pupils representing Mashonaland: Trisha Ramabhai, Khushi Manga, Christianne Kuhuni and Muvaki Kamwendo, all the best.
