Dear Parents

Once again, welcome back to all and a special welcome to our new pupils and parents. We also welcome our new Junior Mistresses.

We have had a very smooth and happy start to the term with everyone settling in quickly and well and a lovely atmosphere prevailing in the school.  The ECD pupils once again amazed us all with their confidence when coming into assembly for the first time today.

The Afternoon Activities Timetable and Term Calendar are attached as well as the Day Boarding letter.  As Day Boarding starts on Monday, the completed forms must be returned on Monday at the latest please.

We are also forwarding Pupil Information Update forms that should be filled in and returned on Monday as well please.  This information is extremely important, as we require updated contact details for parents as well as medical and general information on pupils.

Please note that Afternoon Activities begin on Monday and are compulsory for pupils Grade 3, 4 and 5 on Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons and for Grade 6 and 7 pupils on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Extra curricular activities including ballet, modern dancing, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, music lessons, drama and extra tennis are optional and will start next week as well, with information available from the office.

Please note that we require physical proof of payment of fees in order to issue receipts as our bank statements do not indicate who deposited the fees or whom they are for.  Until we can ascertain whom a deposit is for the fees are put into our suspense account.  This does frustrate many parents who pay the fees but don’t bring in proof of payment and then receive statements indicating they still owe fees.  However, without proof of payment or transfer we have no means of knowing whom the fees are for.

Please note that the drinking water available in the white containers around the school is bought, purified, drinking water.

After such a good start to the term we look forward to a wonderful year.

Yours sincerely
