29th January 2021

Dear Parents
We are receiving many positive reports from teachers, pupils and parents on the progress being made by our pupils. The Grade 3 teachers asked if all the Grade 3 pupils and parents could be awarded merit and effort badges this week as all the pupils are working so well and the parental support by all is obvious. The ECD teachers showed me videos, taken by their parents, of the pupils at home practicing their fine motor skills and following the instructions so well. All the pupils in the videos were completely engaged in what they were doing and all beautifully dressed in their new school uniforms. It is heartbreaking that our pupils cannot be at school enjoying the experience but most encouraging that, when schools reopen, they will be up to date with regards to the syllabus and all ready to move forward.

Parents and pupils who experience any problems with regards to the program or the work must please communicate this to their teachers so that extra assistance and support can be arranged. All pupils should by now have been contacted and spoken to, either individually or in groups, by their class teachers, with avenues of communication established for individual queries. Please would parents and pupils use these when required. In this respect our thanks go to parents for restricting communications to teachers to working hours as requested.

Our grateful thanks go to our grounds and maintenance staff who are resident at school for their incredible efforts in keeping the school maintained, clean, sanitized and all the printing required for pupils’ work up to date. Fogging to sanitize classrooms is being done daily, including weekends.  They are all staying within the school grounds only and are being supplied food and essentials. Our office staff are also being absolutely amazing keeping everything running so smoothly.

Our first merit and effort badge recipients of the year are included. Our congratulations go to all of them for their special efforts this week.

Take care and keep safe.
