20th August 2021

Dear Parents

Our break has certainly been appreciated by all and hopefully everyone will be well rested in preparation for our final stretch to the end of the academic year.  The break has also allowed everyone to remain isolated during what has, unfortunately, been a most contagious period.  Our thoughts and prayers continue to go to all who have been affected.

As there has been no announcement on the physical reopening of schools, we will begin using our distance program.  To this end, school will open for teachers on Monday, to prepare packs for collection next weekend.  Pupils will begin the program the following Monday, 30th August. However, we will physically re-open as soon as we are allowed which, we hope will be in the next few weeks, as the situation improves.

As all classes are ahead of the syllabus, we are confident that we will complete this year without prejudice to our pupils’ educational progress. Our intention is to continue to be ahead of the syllabus by year-end. As always, your incredible support, especially for your children during this difficult time, is greatly appreciated.

We are well prepared, ready and looking forward to the return of our pupils. In the interim, everyone must continue to be vigilant and follow all protocols.  Those who have not been vaccinated should seriously consider doing so. The vaccination program is our only real defense against this terrible virus and although being vaccinated may not prevent someone contracting the virus, being vaccinated has proved to curb transmission and prevent the serious symptoms that have devastated families and put health systems under such enormous pressure.

Yours sincerely
