Dear Parent
Last night our Junior and Senior Choirs joined Chisipite Junior and Senior Choirs for a Combined Choir Concert.  The Juniors performed a musical version of ‘Samson & Delilah’ and the Seniors performed a musical, ‘David & Goliath’.  The choirs complemented each other resulting in thoroughly enjoyable and memorable performances.  Our congratulations go to both Bishopslea Choirs and Chisipite Choirs as well as to our Mrs Van Stryp and to Mrs Foulds (Chisipite Choir Mistress).

The PTA’s Golf Day is being held today at The Country Club, Newlands.  There is a full field and wonderful give-aways, including beautiful fleeces, caps and bags, for every player. Every hole is sponsored and there are prizes for every team.  These have to make our Golf Day the best of the year in Harare.  Our grateful appreciation goes to all the sponsors, prize donors, players and especially to the PTA for making this such an special event.

The social after the Golf will begin from 5:30pm with the Prize Giving starting at approximately 6:30pm.  Food will be served after the prize giving.  All parents and friends are invited to the social and Prize Giving and non-players will be able to buy food.

Our Grade 7’s have been very excited and apprehensive today as the results of the acceptance into Senior Schools are being announced today.  We wish them all every success.

Next Thursday we will be hosting a Combined Schools ‘Singing Wood’ Marimba Concert.  Marimba groups from Bishopslea, Chisipite, Hartmann House, Twin Rivers and St Johns Prep, and Convent will be playing in the Concert starting at 6:00pm in the Bishopslea School Hall.  All parents, family and friends are invited to come and watch.

We have had a most exciting sporting week with hockey and netball matches played.  Results follow.  Our Fillies Hockey Team will be taking part in the EPSA Fillies Hockey Tournament tomorrow at Westridge School.  We wish them every success.
Shona Word A Day will take place next Friday, 21st July.
